First Yorkshire Drupal Users Group

Last night we hosted the first Yorkshire Drupal Users Group. It was wonderful to have such a good turnout this evening after hastily organising it a couple of weeks ago.

We have created an email list for us all to discuss and network on, and I have created a g.d.o group which is pending moderator aproval.

For those of you who didn't manage to make the meeting, we spent a lot of time networking and talking about problems and possible solutions to
those problems. We discussed the trip to Ambleside in January to build a Drupal site for the mountain rescue team there (we have a wiki setup for organising) and we agreed at this evenings meeting to meet again on January 13th either in Keighley or Bradford depending on venue availability.

At the next meeting we aim to plan for the Ambleside Mountain Rescue website, show off the work we've all been doing, and build ourselves a website together in order to learn from each other.

We're also keen to have meetings elsewhere in Yorkshire, and have possible venues in Leeds and Barnsley if people are interested and can help organise.

If you're free next Wednesday evening, a few of us will be at the Bradford Linux Users Group at the CVS Centre on Sunbridge Road - 7pm
for a 7:15pm start. We don't currently have a speaker, so it will likely be an informal chat about Linuxy stuff.
