The Bradford Soup Run wanted a fairly basic website to show what they do, offer to give talks and to try and get some more donations in to cover their high operating costs. A group of us got together one Friday to volunteer our time, and by the end of a working day we had a fully built website that the director of the organisation could easily update himself.

Not all of the sites we create are large-scale implementations. This is a nice example of using WordPress to turn a basic static website into something which the customer can easily edit herself.

Most of the time spent on this site was user training. That's not to say that learning how to edit a WordPress site is hard, rather that creating a WordPress site is so quick. We offer a wide selection of WordPress themes to choose from in our default environment, all of which can be customised, and so getting a basic site online using WordPress is now much easier than learning Dreamweaver.

JustSpace provides people of faith in Bradford with a weekly opportunity to focus on issues of Peace, Justice and Human rights. It is a forum to raise global and community issues and to seek our faithful response to them. JustSpace is a joint effort from Christian Aid and Bradford Diocese, supporting ‘freshexpressions’ of faith with an emphasis on peace and social justice. The site is developed and hosted by Gentlehost in WordPress.
